"Be a Winner"Voter service chair, Jerry Hess attended a seminar presented by the YWCA's Institute for Public Leadership called "Be A Winner" on May 16 and 17. The seminar was targeted to women and was dedicated to helping them find a role either as a candidate for office or a manager of a campaign, or gaining public support for issues. It was an excellent seminar conducted by two professional political managers who presented new ideas, and reconfirmed the best of old ones. The goals of the seminar were similar to that of our "Running to Win" and the information gleaned will be put to good use in structuring our seminar.
