League Interviews Council - Arnold MorgadoCouncil Chair Arnold Morgado cited his interest in our testimony and position on the Ewa-Central Oahu controversy last year and indicated that his stand on the Waiola project was the same as ours. We agreed with him that the development agreements being heard on February 4, was a complicated issue. We explained that we were not against development agreements as such, but were against including vested rights as a part of them. Council Chair Morgado felt this grew out of the Nukolii controversy, but we pointed out that League had been opposing vested rights legislation in the Legislature several years before Nukolii, and why we did so.
