ANNOUNCEMENTS Membership Meetings "Old Timers", relatively new members and a prospective member or two joined forces early in September to get acquainted with each other and with League. Two sessions provided an opportunity to review League history, its nonpartisanship, purpose, voter service and program components. Administrative and member roles in League were also explained. These sessions were designed to orient new members, but they serve an additional purpose -- providing an opportunity for all attending to get better acquainted in an informal setting. The membership committee will try to meet with members at regular sessions throughout the year so if you missed this one read the Voter carefully to make the next get-together. Dee Lum is chair.
