Convention '86 - A Capital Idea - VThe 1986 LWVUS Convention was Super! It was interesting! We met many Leaguers from various parts of the country who were so eager to share their "doings" in their own respective Leagues. It was invigorating! The programs, sessions and meetings were well conducted and informative. It gave me new insights on the League as a whole. One felt that "I don't want to miss anything." It was fun! Washington, D.C. is a great city. You should have seen Arlene's feet. Bunions bigger and redder than Rudolph's nose. Evelyn Bender got us all together with the waving of her cane. Then Marian Hatton with all her buttons - you couldn't mistake her for any other than a Leaguer. She also knew all the good places to eat. And Anne Lee, the gal that struggled to be awake at 9:30.
