[President's Message]

We have some exciting projects on the agenda this year, two of which are the "Issues at Large" program on Oceanic's Channel 20 and the "Speak Out, Hawaii" radio spots that will be aired soon, that offer the membership the opportunity to share in a couple of viable efforts that will be widely visible in our community.

Let us work together to create a climate of vitality and enthusiasm. Let us strengthen our organization by increasing our effectiveness through the greater involvement, participation and commitment of our membership. Let us open the avenues of greater communication of League to Community. Let us give our friends and neighbors the opportunity of sharing our enthusiasm and involvement by encouraging them to join the League and to become a part of this important community service.

We can achieve our goals by establishing our priorities, focusing our attention through reasoned decisions, and making the highest and best use of our time and efforts.
