![]() [President's Message]This dual issue of the Aloha Voter is an attempt at catching you up on past activities and head you toward the end of League's fiscal and program year. You will get another mailing late March which will provide member information on program suggestions for 1986-1987, the budget proposals which will make the program possible, and the report of the nominating committee which will give League the leadership it needs to continue its many programs. Please read the materials carefully and plan to participate in the annual meeting on Saturday, April 26th. The purpose of this annual meeting is to adopt program; elect officers, directors and next year's nominating committee; to adopt the budget; and transact other business necessary to ensure the ongoing work of League. It is also a time to renew old acquaintances and regain energy. Spring is known for renewal, and both State Council and National Convention accomplish that aim at League's other levels. Council will be the weekend of May 16 and 17. All members are welcome to attend although there will be a few official delegates from each local League. Watch your Leo Hana for more information. Convention will be in Washington, D.C. this June. If you are going to be in the area, you might like to join our delegates at this most exciting meeting. Let us know by calling the office. Aloha,
Dorothy Lum |
