ActivitiesLWV of Hawaii will be a sponsor of COASTWEEK '85 CELEBRATION IN HAWAII this fall. Kiyoko Nitz will be League's representative for the October 7-14 event. This is the fourth year of a nationwide celebration of coastal resources. The goal is to foster the public's awareness of the value of our nation's coasts. Contact Kiyoko at 262-7536, or Dave Raney, Sierra Club, at 523-2311 if you want to be directly involved. Watch for more details. **************** "Equality Day" will be celebrated August 26th at the Prince Jonah Kuhio. Kalanianaole Federal Building. Suzanne Meisenzahl and our little League "girl" will be there with our League display. Call if you'd like to join Suzanne and help commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment. ************ Honolulu women who attended the UN World Conference of Women in Nairobi were Rep. Donna Ikeda, Ruth Lieban, Elizabeth Cummings, and Florence Kelley ADS: Nancy Donnelly, Program Manager for the State's Judiciary Foster Parenting Program, has approached League on the need of foster homes for difficult teenagers. If you have an interest, call her at #548-2001. Some of you might have become aware of this continuing need through work on the state Juvenile Justice committee.
