Honolulu Leaguers Work Toward Info/Cultural Exchange with Soviet Women's CommitteeUpon invitation of Anna Shugayeva, International Department of the Soviet Women's Committee, Ruth Hinerfeld immediate past-president of LWUVS was asked by National President Ridings to visit Moscow and explore ways of improving information and cultural exchange, suggested by Honolulu Leaguers Frank and Peg Eldridge upon their return from Moscow last summer as members of the Aloha Peace Journey. Hinerfeld's visit under the auspices of Women and Foundations/Corporate Philanthropy, brings the possibility of visits by the Soviet Women's Committee to the U.S. with local Leaguers hosting closer to reality.
