Announcements League is going on the radio. We were asked to be on Bill Maniachi's talk show on KGU on November 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. We'll be discussing legislative issues and citizen participation. Tune in and call in an encouraging remark or question if the need arises. ****************************** We need people to telephone members regarding meetings and special actions. If you have a bit of free time, please help League add a personal touch. Call the office or Mary Ellen Reed and tell us how many members you can call. ****************************** WANTED: Someone to monitor the Job Training Partnership Act program in Honolulu. This new program is replacing CETA, and Muriel Roberts is coordinating the feedback operation. Perhaps we can have some impact on the successful functioning of JTPA in training disadvantaged persons so they can find employment.
