January Meeting Huge Success On January 8, forty-five women and men focused for several hours on the legislative process and how it can be productive and fun. We began with luncheon speaker, Chief Clerk of the House, George Takane. Mr. Takane gave hints from the "inside" on understanding and using legislative procedures for positive results. We could have continued interacting with George... but returned to some specific details of League action. Table groups then brain-stormed what they would like to see this legislature do --- and these suggestions have been sent to Senate President Wong and House Speaker Peters. Check the Legislative Bulletin Board in the League office. We will have current hearing schedules posted for your information. WHAT WE NEED ARE PERSONS TO MONITOR LEGISLATIVE HEARINGS.
