LWV Scholarship Fund During the 1981 LWV State Convention, one area of discussion centered on ways to encourage membership in League. We do not want eager, willing-to-work, wanting-to-learn prospectives being unable to join because of financial reasons. Therefore, a scholarship fund was begun with the contributions of a few members. The awarding of one year's dues payment is made on the basis of need and merit by the Honolulu Board. We are happy to announce that such an award was made recently. The fund now stands at $20.00. Remember, if you wish, you may designate a contribution to the Scholarship Fund.
