Candlelight and WineA LONG HOT SUMMER? QUENCH YOUR THIRST AND LIFT YOUR SPIRITS THIS FALL WHEN: The League of Women Voters presents CANDLELIGHT AND WINE with selected fine wines and soaring string music: The date: Sunday, October 24 Time: 5 - 7 P.M. the occasion: A levitating wine-tasting party! The League's annual fund-raising event Thank you for your Voter responses regarding which kind of event you would like the League to sponsor. Obviously, the wine-tasting party won without a struggle! Allen Kam, Vintage Wine Cellars, will be compiling a master list of red and white, domestic and imports, for the occasion while a String Quartet will play Mozart to Muzak. From this vantage point, it should be a lovely affair. Jean Ko |
