League is now working on plans for a televised gubernatorial debate or forum to be held after the Primary Election. This is an exciting project which will serve more than one purpose. First of all, it will give the public a chance to see and hear the candidates talk about the issues rather than the usual campaign slogans. Second, it will be very good for the LWV to sponsor a much needed public concerns program.

There is much to be done to make this project successful and we are inviting all interested Leaguers to join the committee and help us in this effort. It will be an interesting and enjoyable experience! Please leave your name at the Office with Carol or on the tape (531-7448).
