Attention Fund Raisers![]() LOOKING BACKWARDS In 1959, Leaguers sold saimin at the 49th State Fair (a pre-statehood event) and earned $2570. In 1972, Leaguers sold Pecans and earned $225. In 1974, Leaguers earned $2366 from pizza ticket sales. In 1978, Leaguers earned $2256 from the Blaisdell Hotel Makamaka Mixer. LOOKING AHEAD Although LWV earns a considerable sum from vote counting, because of its unpredictable nature, we cannot rely on this activity to support League. This year, Leaguers voted to sponsor a fundraising event to earn $2000 and our obvious past track record shows we can do it. The variety of possible events fill a book, but your finance committee has selected these possibilities and now solicits your opinion. Please check your preference and mail back (along with your member contribution, see p. 2 1) to Melvia Kawashima, 49 South Hotel St. 1313
