TRANSPORTATION -- A DRIVING FORCE IN OUR FUTURE!

Roy Parker

Director of Transportation Services

City & County of Honolulu

ANNUAL MEETING AND LUNCHEON

THE PROGRAM *

If the cost and hassle of transportation are driving you crazy, and the problems of the future are steering you 'round the bend, bus or carpool to the Annual Meeting, listen to what an expert hays to say, ask your questions, and drive home your points.

Thanks to our Transportation Committee, we're fortunate to have Mr. Roy Parker as guest speaker who will address priorities and problems in transportation. With the changes in philosophies and budget priorities in Washington, transportation has become an even more critical issue than it has been. Is HART dead? Do we have to build more highways and freeways? Can we increase our inventory of buses and improve bus service? How? We live on a tight little island and we need some answers.

THE MENU *

A light and savory lunch to suit your taste! We regret that Kay Allen will not be preparing it, but the Kaiulani chefs refuse to have her in the kitchen supervising.

Manoa Lettuce and Tomato Salad
Sauteed Mahimahi par excellence
Rice Pilaf
Haricot Verte (green beans)
Coconut Cake

VITAL INFORMATION *

  • The proposed program, budget, by-law change, and nominees for officers and directors in this VOTER as well as other business will be taken up at the meeting. Please study your material and be prompt so that we'll have time for wine and socializing!

  • There will be validated parking -- 75c for 5 hours. Buses to Waikiki are #2, 4, 5, & 8 (the least we can do for a Transportation Meeting!)

  • Lunch will cost $7 (inflation factor included). Invite a friend or two to meet you there for no-host wine and lunch at 11:30. Guests may want to miss the morning meeting -- they wouldn't understand our dignified shouting matches.

  • Deadline for reservations: APRIL 13. Circle your calendar for the 20th, clip out the form on bottom of page two and mail it TODAY.
