Ghostrider on TheBusOne problem with riding TheBus is you can't choose your companions. Usually that is okay -- except when the bus is crowded with school children. Ghostrider made the mistake of arriving at the Salt Lake Shopping Center transfer point just after an Aliumanu school had let out. Auwe! When the bus for home arrived, there were already students standing. At least 50 more got on ahead of Ghostrider who held back, fearful of being trampled. TheBus was jammed with all these sweaty little bodies when the driver motioned to Ghostrider to come on board. She did, with great trepidation, sharing the bottom step at the door with two little boys. How the bus managed to climb Salt Lake Blvd hill with all those people on board is a wonder but it did, and within ten minutes or so enough riders had exited so Ghostrider could sit. From then on it was an easy ride home. Moral of the story: DO ride TheBus, but watch the hour. Ghostrider now stays at the office until dusk if necessary in order to avoid the rush of youth.
