And Some Impressions of Washington...What a time to be in our nation's capitol: azaleas in full bloom, huge beds of colorful tulips, weather comparable to the best Honolulu days.... It's a beautiful city - one would suspect that the members of the Honolulu LWV planning committee had spent their former lives in D. C. to oversee the planning and urban design We had lunch in the Senate dining room with Senator Matsunaga who had been expecting an oriental delegation - Woo, Ko, and Wong....We jogged in Rock Creek Park, a block from our hotel. We noticed that the two-way road became one-way during the morning and evening rush hours(Transportation committee take note)....Good things happened within the convention hall, but the total experience of National Convention encompassed so much more. To all of you, "Thanks for the opportunity
