Neighborhood Board Workshops The Neighborhood Commission is offering a series of workshops to educate neighborhood members in leadership skills and effective participation in city government. Two sessions on parliament ary procedure have been given, as well as workshops on the city budget, development plans, the role of the Planning Commission, and how to testify The League has been asked to participate a session on voting, March 7th. These workshops are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays, 7:30-9:30, usually at City Hall. Interested Leaguers may attend; call Jeanette Hirakawa at 523-4087 for further information. In some cases,space may be limited. Can you read? Do you wish everyone could? An exciting program is in full swing at the Kailua High School Reading Center. The center,designed to provide instruction and support for students reading below grade level, those learning English as a second language,needs volunteers.
