Data Book Information In 1974 there were 423,642 cars registered in the state. Oahu held 333,954 of these. By 1975 the number on Oahu was 339,729. Fuel consumption for the state by 1000 gallons was 279,996 for all vehicles, for Oahu this figure was 216,837 in 1974 and 226, 427 in 1975!!!! This "accomplished" by a currently registered driver population of 425,370 on Oahu. THE BUS ANYONE???
