Energy - Request for ConcurrenceThe Energy Task Force of the League of Women Voters of the United States has re quested the national board to consider presenting to local leagues, for concurrence, a statement on energy which was drawn up by representatives from a number of states and approved in principle by the conferees. ENERGY - REQUEST FOR CONCURRENCE cont.) Concurrence is an old League idea seeing current reemphasis and is a technique to speed up the way study moves to the decision point. It basically means trusting that if you had the time to research the same issue, your conclusions would be similar with another League which has done the study. Concurrence operates every day within the League. 'Every new member concurs in program positions other members have previously reached So do members who move from one League to another. In other words, you accept the-validity of the research and analysis process by which your peers arrive at a position.
