October 14 This is the date that a Candidates Fair will be sponsored by League in the downstairs lanai area of the Ala Moana Center. The fair will be our main Voter service effort for the election year and is intended for all candidates in the House, school board and council races who will be in the general election. Free entertainment and prize drawings will contribute to the fair atmosphere and encourage shoppers to stop in and visit candidates from their districts. Each candidate will have a designated set of hours to man a booth in the area. A committee, headed by Gretel McLane, has been quietly working on the details of the fair, but the time is coming for broader League involvement. Everyone needs to red-letter this date on their calendars for workers will be needed that day. The committee will also be needing people to contact candidates, and distribute posters and bumper stickers. Please call Gretel at 734-6804. One final word----use the enclosed BUMPER STICKER !!!
