Action AlleyThe next legislative log will continue the review of specific bills followed by the state action ladies. Letters were sent to our congressional members in Washington urging affirmative action in hiring qualified women in positions of responsibility and status. And one to Mr. Paco in the Governor's office suggesting state board members and their interests as a source for appointments to state boards, commissions and agencies. A series of 16 radio programs has begun on. station KTUH--listen as League members interview and talk with community people on important topics--the first was "Open Meetings". Locally we have been urging support of the neighborhood Commission. If you have some good ideas share them with Audrey Anderson, a Leaguer on the Commission.
