Action AlleyThe opening round of units was a good start for the new year--both calendar' and legislative wise. Now that more of you are familiar with the happenings at the capitol let us hear about how you will help the League: observer
Call Diane, Melvia or myself. Councilwoman Mary George was sent a letter in response to her proposal of a citizen's advisory group to study and develop possible legislation on the City's improvement district process. If you would like to be considered for this group, if it is formed, the League would be happy to submit your name, Call Diane. Letters were sent to the Board of Water Supply and to the Papers on the League's position on this area-- see our national solid waste position and read the letters in the office.* Letters have been sent to the national Congressmen regarding 'impeachment fairness, using thoughts prepared by the national board on the Leagues role in this area. And our representatives have received telegrams on trade: see the IR&T reports. As members and citizens we hope that you are keeping abreast of these concerns and writing your legislators, councilmen and congressmen
