***Jean Roberts was appointed off-Board chairman of Environmental Quality (Water).
***Judy Blatchford was changed from
on-Board to an off-Board chairman
in charge of Environmental Quality (Solid Waste).
***Mrs. Goo reported that the minutes of the April 26 Annual Meeting were approved as corrected by
an audit committee.
***Voted to not conduct the usual finance drive this year but to hold a fund-raising theater premiere gala in December.
***Finalized plans for the kickoff Luncheon at the Flamingo Chuckwagon on Sept. 11.
***Discussed preliminary plans for our voters service activities in 1974.
***Recommended to the State Board that our League make application for an EPA funded Solid Waste Management Training Grant to be split between 5 to 10 state Leagues. Our League's thrust would be geared toward making recycling "happen" in Hawaii.
**The next regular meeting of the Board will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 9:15 AM, at the AAUW Clubhouse.
