Help Needed Now is your chance to choose your spot! The RESPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE is looking for new members. We need people to help with our action project on District of Columbia Home Rule and Voting Representation in Congress. Vacancies also exist on the Electoral College and Congress subcommittees. Let us hear from you interested people. Call Barbara Nobriga - 254-4965 ATTENTION! The League has observers consistently watching the Planning Commission, the City Council, the Council committees on Finance, Planning and Zoning and Transportation, the Land Use Commission and the Board of Education. . Observing is one of our most important functions and provides study committees with much needed information. If you are interested in observing this fall please call Dee Lum or Diane Hastert. .We will hold an observer workshop in the fall. Our OFFICE has been blessed with several faithful HELPERS this past year. It has been such an aid for the board to have members available for help on a steady basis. And we think that it helps the League provide a community service by answering the many questions about elections and city and state officers.
