Brain-Boggler for December Pertaining to the election for 1968. Do you know the processes which would occur if any one of the following situations had or should develop? Got the answer?? Call Nancy Williams 573-3706 if you know it. She nor the committee do. If the presidential or vice-presidential nominee of a party had died before November 5th. If the president or vice-president elect should die between Nov 5th and December 16th 1968. Hawaii State law only says "The electors when convened, if both candidates are alive shall vote for... candidates of the political party which they represent... ". If a president or vice-president elect should die between December 16, 1968 and January 6 1969. If a president or vice-president elect should die between January 6 and January 20th 1969.
