The Urban CoalitionTHE URBAN COALITION: A Report, On July 31, 1967, 22 American leaders meeting at a conference called by Mayor Joseph M, Barr of Pittsburgh, chairman of the Conference of Mayors, and Mayor John Lindsay of New York, formed the URBAN COALITION and called upon the nation to bring "more resources to bear on domestic problems." For a summary of the meeting entitled "Emergency Convocation: The Urban Coalition" write to URBAN AMERICA - 1717 MASSACHUSETTS AVE.
