Election Year Briefing - 1966
The Richards Street YWCA, as a community service, has planned a series of
six programs, to help the public gain a better understanding of the basic
principles and major issues to be considered in preparing for the forthcoming
elections. As we become better informed, we become more responsible voters.
All meetings will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on six consecutive
Thursdays. Tray luncheons may be brought to the classroom if desired.
Fee: $3.00 ($1.00 for YWCA members).

POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT IN HAWAII - Dr. Dan W. Tuttle - An account and appraisal of the political development in Hawaii.
CRUCIAL CURRENT ISSUES -
EDUCATION - Rev. Robert C. Loveless - Including Trends in Education, Problems connected with the increase in school population, Teacher recruitment.
ECONOMIC - Dr. James H. Shoemaker - Including Dramatic change in economic development, Taxation, Financing of various projects.
COMMUNITY WELFARE - Hr. Aaron Levine - What Kind of City Do, We Want? Discussion re: Housing, Transportation, Recreation.
POLITICAL - Mr. Robert G. Dodge - Including Reapportionment, Ethics in Government, Constitutional Convention.
CONFRONTATION - Panel Discussion on the alcove issues as related to party platforms, together with other issues which they consider significant.
