Plans for September Disclosed -- Don't Miss this One!Hear leading city officials speak on the functions of the City Council… attend a City Council session after a briefing by the League's Local Agenda Committee… these are the main components of the September "kick-off" meetings. These are meetings you won't want to miss and meetings to which you should bring all of your friends.
Both meetings will be at Elliot's Chickwagon on Kapiolani Plvd. cost $1.25. For reservations call Beth Yarberry, 78-791, by September 5th. After each meeting the first 25 who indicate an interest when making luncheon reservations will be taken for a "go-see" visit to the City Council meeting. briefing session by League members will help to make this an exciting an informative experience. (If the demand is great enough additional visits to Council meetings will be scheduled.) If possible you are encouraged to attend both luncheon meetings since the speakers represent the executive and legislative point of view. More last minute details in the next issue but it isn't too early to round up your friends and make your reservations. Know your City Council.
