Membership Chairman's Annual ReportThe fiscal year for the League of Women Voters of Honolulu ending March 1053 shows a paid up membership of 96 including 32 new members. However, we have a voting membership of 115 due to transfers from the other states. Letters were sent to prospective members cordially inviting then to attend meetings at the Units. The handbook for the LWV of Honolulu, The Pocket Reference on the United Nations, and Facts About the LWV were also sent. Prospective member were placed on the Bulletin mailing list for three months. A revised questionnaire is being prepared for current information on League members - the files need your help to be kept up to date. Much needed orientation meetings were held at the Kailua and Waialae-Kahala Units. A sincere mahalo to the Chairmen of the Units and League members in general for suggesting names of prospective members and for bringing newcomers to meetings. Geraldine Martin |
