Publications - Annual ReportNational publications of interest during 1960 included 40 Years of a Great Idea, a story of League's accomplishments, its principles and purposes, and two related pamphlets--Economic Diplomacy at Home and Abroad, a guide for study, discussion and action, and Hard Choices--the Realities of Economic Development at Home and Abroad. For the convenience of units, requests for purchase of publications on Agenda items have been filled for direct mailing to the specified leaders or members of the units. Other pertinent materials have been routed to the respective chairman as usual. National publication, Choosing the President of the U.S.A. and copies of the local brochure, Can You Vote? were given to the Department of Public Instruction. These were timed to coincide with the national and local elections. Miss Rose Chow Hoy, Director, Social Studies, notified the field assistants of the availability of the pamphlet and she sent the brochures to the district offices for proper distribution. Outlets for distribution of other pertinent material were the Membership, Finance, and Voters Service Committees. Grace Yokoi |
