From the President's Chair

All of us who attended the last membership meeting were gratified to see the League assist in bringing together the architects for the jail and the police department which, under the provisions of the new charter, will be the administrator of the jail.
Following the meeting, a letter was written to the mayor with a copy to Chief Dan Liu, asking that he consider including the police in final planning.
Both Mayor Blaisdell and Chief Liu have thanked us for our interest, and Mayor Blaisdell added that the architects will continue to work closely with the police administration.
