Who's for Saimin??? ****************** And hundreds of dollars in the League's treasury ?!? ****************** As a supplemental fund raising project this year the League will have a saimin concession at the 50th State Fair (Waikiki Shell ) from June 26 through July 5, 1959. Alison MacBride, Finance Chairman for the League, is issuing a call for volunteers. The more helpers, the more saimin sold, the more money rolling into the depleted treasury A team of twelve salespersons is required for each of the fourteen shifts. Kaneda's Food will furnish the cooked saimin, equipment etc. The League provides the sales force; please telephone Alison MacBride that you can serve. Call 54328 ( business ) or 78897 (home ) before June 15th. You will need to have a chest X—ray unless you have had one in the PAST YEAR. Free X—ray service is available at Queen's Hospital daily, Monday — Friday, 10.30 — 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. or at the Lanakila Health Center Monday — Friday 8 — 4 p.m. Workers will be issued passes into the Fair. Teams will report a half hour early for orientation.
