The Near East CrisisSee the August and September National Voter for some thought-provoking articles on Foreign Policy. In the August issue, Mrs. Phillips says, speaking of the Middle East situation,
"Faced as we are with a now world crisis, it seems all the more clear to me that the role of the League of Women Voters is not to come up with a quick solution for meeting the crisis of the moment. Rather, the challenge for the League is to work toward developing new perspectives in United States foreign policy".
