United Nations Week The week of October 21 - 26 will be observed as United Nations Week, with schools and community organizations having programs on the theme "The U.N. is Your Business". The major public event will be the banquet on October 24, at which Governor Quinn will give an address. Other features on the program will be well publicized, so watch your daily paper. Continuing Responsibility No. 1 on the National program is - U.S. support of the United Nations and its Specialized Agencies, including adequate financial contributions, increased use, and improved procedures. The way in which Leagues carry out this CR depends largely on the circumstances existing in each community. Participation in UN WEEK has always been one of our ways in Honolulu. President of the Hawaii Branch, American Association for the United Nations is Mr. Siegfried Ramler, and Dr. James H. Shoemaker is chairman of the UN WEEK observance.
