June Membership MeetingCity planning will be the subject for discussion at the June membership meeting to be held on Wednesday. June 19 at 7:30 P.M. at the YWCA. Alfred Preis, A.I.A., who is an expert on community architecture, will discuss the human aspects of community planning and what needs should be considered when we talk about building zoning, drainage and sewer systems, park areas, location of a civic center, and similar topics. Mr. Preis has won many national honors in his field and is recognized for his special skill in community planning. Robert G. Dodge. attorney and Vice-Chairman of the Charter Commission, will discuss types of organizations for city planning, their composition, duties and authority. We are particularly fortunate to have these two men help us in our study of community planning, since the status of the planning organization may be one of the controversial issues in the new city charter.
