May Membership Meeting"Cracks in the Soviet Empire" will be the subject of the membership meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Y.W.C.A. Mrs. Elsie Tuttle and her committee will dramatize a discussion by a panel of members of satellite countries on the story of how the Communists took over their countries. This will be followed by a filmstrip and commentary of authentic pictures compiled by the New York Times staff. Mrs. Kathleen Schutte will give a report on the Charter Commission's deliberations up to the present time. Margaret Holden will bring the membership up to date on the Citizens Charter Committee. A report on the fate of the League's bill HB 646 will be given. Interesting and important: So plan to be present!
