Roberts, 2646 Oahu Avenue. Mrs. Gillen is a League member from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, spending the summer in Honolulu. She was the first State President of the North Carolina League. She has just returned from a trip to South America where she worked with women's groups under the auspices of the Carrie Chapman Catt Memorial Fund. This Fund is a research and education fund created by the League of Women Voters of the United States as a living memorial to the founder of the League. Its purpose is to increase the knowledge of individual men and women in all parts of the world about the structure, functions, techniques and problems of government. All members are urged to attend the tea for Mrs. Gillen, which will take the place of our regular membership meeting.
