National Convention The National Convention this year will be held in Chicago. The gavel goes down at 1:00 P. M. on April 30th calling the convention to order. Adjournment is at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 4th, Intergovernmental Relations will be the theme of the Convention. On Monday evening a panel composed of Mr. Meyer Kestnbaum, Chairman of the Commission on Intergovernmental Relations; Mrs. Bernice T. Vander Vries, a retiring member of the General Assembly of Illinois and recently elected as an officer of the Council of State Governments; and Professor Walter W. Heller, School of Business Administration of the University of Minnesota will discuss the problems and challenges of state governments. Your delegate is looking forward to a new experience in her League work - that of delegate to a National Convention, If you have any questions or special interests please call 97193 before April 26th. We are hoping local papers will carry press news of the Convention. A letter to the Editors may help get it.
