Calendar of Events Annual Meeting Board Meeting Charter Commission National Agenda Caveat Emptor |
Annual MeetingNext Wednesday, March 21, marks the climax of a productive League year and the beginning of a new year of activity. Our annual meeting dinner will be held at the Armed Services YMCA starting at 6:30 p.m. Price of the dinner is $1.70 including tip. Why not come a little early, renew old acquaintances and make new ones? To keynote our proposed local agenda program on the charter, we will hear a brief talk by Dr. George Graham on the question "Is the League Important?" Dr. Graham, a Princeton political scientist, is Carnegie Visiting Professor of Government at the University of Hawaii this year. We'll also have some business which requires your presence and participation. Decisions will be made on the budget, local agenda, and election of officers. Dues of $3 are also payable at this meeting. Reservations are being taken by Mrs. Juanita Braude. Call her at 746279, daytime or evening. A member of the telephone committee (Mrs. Harold St. John, Mrs. Hansel Taylor or Suzanne Starr) will check with you soon. We have found that the annual meeting is an excellent introduction to the League for prospective new members. We hope you'll invite someone to the preview of the year ahead.
