Charter CommitteeYou may be wondering whether a Charter Commission bill was passed by the Legislature and then forgotten. We know that it hasn't been forgotten by the League, at least. A busy group of a dozen Leaguers has been working on background materials on government which will soon be available for study at unit meetings. After we've informed ourselves, we hope that we can inform others in the community. So far, papers have been completed on Forms of Government, Finance Structures, and Board and Commissions. Next on the agenda are the Board of Supervisors, the Legal Department, and the Budget. If you would like to learn more about this project, call Ruth Myers (914613). If you have one free morning or evening a month, you can help and have fun doing it.
