Calendar of Events Membership Meeting Individual Liberty: National Agenda Item II Voters Service United Nations Charter Review Budget Report September 30, 1954 (Jayne L. Ellis) |
Voters ServiceThe election is over as you well know! The Committees on Registration, Candidate Questionnaire, Candidates Rally and the Voters Service Pamphlet, CAN YOU VOTE? have all done a fine job. You Leaguers who sat on the side lines might like to call them and tell them you are proud of them. The following were chairmen of the committees: Terza Meller, Ruth Miho, Brooks Mordy, and Kathleen Schutte. These groups did a great deal of work during the pre-election days. In one-half day, for instance, the Registration Committee registered 126 voters at the University of Hawaii. Did the Questionnaire help you in your voting? We hope you all saw the results in the HONOLULU STAR BULLETIN. Also of interest to League members was the BULLETIN's editorial on the Candidate's Rally. Now the Voters Service Committee is closing ranks and preparing for observation of the incoming Board of Supervisors January 3rd. Then there will be the observation of the Legislature when it meets after the first of the year. Perhaps some of you busy housewives would like to spend some time observing with our regular committee members. They would be happy to introduce you to your City-County Supervisors.
