February Meeting Important for Membership Financial Drive News - Goal Nearly Reached! Discussion on National Issues Will Continue on Feb. 24th State of the League Coming Events |
State of the League"The growth of the League has continued to be prolific. There are 62 new local Leagues since April 1, 1952, making the total number of local Leagues 886. For the same period, we estimate an increase of approximately 6,000 members. The last state without a League has begun organization; in Delaware we have held our first meeting and are looking forward to recognizing the Provisional League of Newark, Delaware soon. There are now 31 local Leagues in states where there were none at all on January 1, 1951....To sum up, the health of the League is almost excellent; the growth of the League is almost staggering; the effectiveness of the League's work is steadily increasing."
