The League of Women Voters and the United NationsBecause the current national agenda puts emphasis on the importance of the United Nations many members will be interested in various activities planned by the local chapter of the American Association for the United Nations during U.N. Week, October 19-20. A late afternoon tea on October15 at Washington Place will preface the other events. The tea will honor the various consulates who are in the islands and will be open to the public. The Mayor's Committee is planning the annual U.N. Day program at City Hall on October 24. There will be a special program at the Fort Ruger headquarters of the Trust Territory. There will be a week long program at the University. Watch the local papers for these and other events during the week.
