Proposed Platform of LWV for 1952-54 Special Reports Coming Events Did You Know

Special Reports The CHARTER STUDY GROUP is planning to give a series of three information-discussion sessions based on the material gathered by the group during the past year. Leaguers will be given the opportunity to sign up for these at the February membership meeting, or call Lillian Fortess at 96359. There will be an evening session and a morning or afternoon one, the times and location to be decided on the basis of convenience for those who can attend. THE EDITORIAL BOARD during the past year under the direction of Mrs. Brook Mordy, has been preparing the League's second handbook on City and County government. It is to be a complement to IN HONOLULU HALE HE ELECT. Since it is to deal with the appointive local officials and department heads, it will be entitled IN HONOLULU HALE THEY APPOINT. The material is now in the final stages of editing and the Board hopes that it will be ready for the printer by the time of the annual meeting in March. If there is anyone who would be interested in sitting in with the Editorial Board to help plan for distribution and publicity, please call Mrs. Mordy at 715712. THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE wishes to remind members that their prospective new members should pay their dues in April for the next financial year. THE SECRETARY announces that materials needed for study before the annual meeting will be in your mail very soon.
