No August Membership Meeting Questions Concerning Federal Aid to Education Active Committee on Parks and Recreation Report to League Coming Events New Chairman of Editing Group Charter Study Group Dates Carrie Chapman Catt Memorial

No August Membership Meeting At the July meeting the group voted not to plan a meeting for the month of August since so many members are on vacation. At the September meeting there will be at least two important items on the agenda: first, an opinion ballot on our position in regards to federal aid to education, based on our May and July meetings and the questions listed below, and second, a first report from the Charter Study Group. This report will be in the form of a panel discussion with three members of the group describing the three main forms of city government. Let us try to build up our own information on these two subjects before that meeting! If members are missing the August meeting there is an opportunity to attend the interesting meetings being held by the various boards regarding the use of alcoholic beverages in public parks.
