Interesting Note on National Convention The Spring Progress Report of the Barrie Chapman Catt Memorial Fund, Inc. (a research and educational fund created by the League of Women Voters) carries this interesting note on our National Convention: "As part of its work to further international understanding, the League of Women Voters invited foreign guests to its Convention. The Fund sponsored all these visitors during their four days in Atlantic City and arranged briefing sessions and follow-up study. The colorful national costumes of some of the women and the ceremony of presenting the leis, flown by the Hawaiian League to honor Miss Strauss and Mrs. Lee, made the occasion memorable to the eye as well as the mind."
