Leaguers Shine at ML King ParadeUnquestionably the League is a serious organization dedicated to making democracy work. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun along the way and present a happy face to the public. And that’s just what happened as we once again participated in the Jan. 18 Martin Luther King parade along Kalakaua Ave. About 25 people turned out for League. Special thanks to Evangeline Funk who waved to the crowd from the front seat of a bright yellow Lamborghini and to Elizabeth Reilly who provided paper signs to jazz up our red shirts. It was fun, it was excellent PR and it honored Dr. Martin Luther King Ann Shaver |
