Meeting on Agriculture

Threats to agriculture in Hawaii will be the subject of a meeting on December 12. Discussed will be state and county governments’ adverse impacts on agricultural land, such as:

  • Prime ag land is included in Ewa’s urban growth boundary.
  • Counties allow Bed & Breakfasts on ag land.
  • Gentlemen farms.

Also under discussion will be legislative issues such as water allocation, environmental review and the Land Use Commission. For time and place contact robertharris@mac.com.
