Jan. 24 Meeting Examines Kakaako PlanAlexander & Baldwins (A & B) proposed development of Kakaako Makai was chosen by the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) as best fulfilling its vision of the important area. However, at the December 17 membership meeting, League members questioned HCDAs vision. An opportunity to examine that vision will be presented when Dan Dinell, HCDAs executive director, will appear at the January 24 meeting of the Ala Moana Neighborhood Board. Leaguers are urged to attend this meeting which is at the Makiki Christian Church on Pensacola St. at Rycroft, from 7 to 9 pm. Nancy Hedlund, a member of that Board, said her Board is opposed to the project. Honolulu Leagues Planning & Transportation committee received a presentation of the plan from A & B staff on October 25. Committee members liked the plan. Pearl Johnson
